From New York State Thruway

• From the New York State Thruway, take the New Paltz exit, exit 18. Go right at the end of the exit, on to rte 299 east.
• Go 4.9 miles, to the traffic light at the intersection of route 299 and 9W, where you take a right on to rte 9W south.
• Continue on route 9W for 2.2 miles, where you bear right on to the entrance ramp for the mid hudson bridge.
• After you cross the bridge, count traffic lights. At the 4th light, turn right on to Academy.
• Count lights again. At the 3d light turn left on to Livingston. Follow Livingston, which turns sharply left at Ivy Terrace. Poughkeepsie Tennis club is 100 feet past the sharp turn. It is a gray building on the left.
• If you encounter a traffic light, you've gone too far.
